A major impetus for my writing is not only to help me organize my thoughts and experiences, but also to help others on their journey towards radical self-reclamation and healing. I embarked upon my spiritual journey not with a lot of forethought or planning, which has both served me well in that I take big leaps of faith, and likely gave me tougher lessons than most due to my lack of preparation.

That said, I think Ram Dass explained it well. With the emergence of psychedelics, we are opening up the western mind without the support of a spiritual culture or context. Of course here we have Christianity, but in terms of practices such as fasting, meditation and breathwork, all of which are very key practices in learning how to accept and let go of the ego, none are pillars of our American culture - though now that is beginning to shift.

Bufo or 5-MeO-DMT is known as the ultimate surrender, the guaranteed ego dissolver, zero to enlightenment in less than 20 seconds, baby. Sounds great? Well, let me tell you how it was for me and I’ll let you decide.

My first experience with Bufo came in October of 2019. The invitation arrived and I felt a very strong yes to it. As I have explained in previous articles, I hardly ever pursue medicine experiences. Instead, I allow them to come to me. In this way, this path has felt more organic - more like destiny and less like desire.
